As a growing body of evidence conclusively shows, the CDC, FDA, Pfizer, and the federal government have been colluding with social media companies to censor dissent on their platforms. Publicly, the White House has previously demanded Facebook censor “misinformation.” President Joe Biden even accused the platform of "killing people" in July 2021.
Newly released private communications in the Facebook Files — courtesy of Robby Soave at Reason Magazine — sheds a brighter light on the disturbing trend of CDC-guided censorship of Covid dissent on the social media platform Meta (formerly known as Facebook).
In a publicised series of privately obtained emails — granted because of the state of the Missouri v. Biden lawsuit — Soave shows how Facebook moderators directly consulted with the politically entrenched Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to police Covid discourse on their platform.
In a handful of screenshots from May to July 2021, Facebook moderators ask Carol Crawford, CDC Chief of the Digital Media Branch, to vet vaccine side effect claims ranging from conspiratorial (“COVID-19 vaccines cause magnetism”) to those born out by the data at the time and the current best available scientific evidence (COVID-19 vaccines cause “menstrual cycle changes” and “heart inflammation”).
Troublingly, the CDC has continually misled the public on several such side effects. On the known adverse event of menstrual cycle changes, the one email itself states it was “already debunked by CDC.” How one could “debunk” such a claim despite mounting evidence to the contrary remains a mystery.
On the established risk of vaccine myocarditis in young men, the CDC initially claimed it had not found a statistically significant signal despite “intentionally” examining 200 million administered doses.
Now, the CDC has acknowledged the disproportionate risk of heart inflammation in younger cohorts but continues to unequivocally recommend mRNA vaccines based on the fallacious premise that “known risks of COVID-19 illness…far outweigh the potential risks of having a rare adverse reaction to vaccination, including the possible risk of myocarditis or pericarditis” (study after study has shown this to be false in young men).
This same corrupted CDC directly informed Facebook’s Covid misinformation guidelines. When Facebook asked the CDC to assess whether several other claims circulating on social media could "contribute to vaccine refusals” Crawford replied, “It appears that any of these could potentially cause vaccine refusal.”
The ever-evolving nature of the Covid pandemic required a rich debate among scientists with differing views. Yet, Facebook chose one narrow lane of acceptable scientific views tailored by the CDC. They prided themselves in censoring “false claims” such as “the COVID vaccine is not safe for kids" on Instagram and Facebook.
However, renowned scientists outside of the CDC — such as Dr. Marty Makary from Johns Hopkins university — disagree with the establishment view that Covid vaccines should be recommended for healthy kids.
Here is Dr. Makary on Fox News stating, “for the vast majority of healthy kids, the case may be there, but it's certainly not compelling.”
The new Facebook Files add to the concerning trend of blacklisting pro-vaccine doctors, censoring skeptical reporters, and mislabelling peer-reviewed studies as “misleading” on various social media platforms. Now, as more private information gets released, previously undisputed scientific truths are collapsing in the face of the public eye.
