Nigel Farage Resigns as MP & Stands Again in Fresh Election

1) Nigel Farage Resigns
Amidst corporate media scrutiny over his sources of personal funding Nigel Farage has announced that he will resign as MP for Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.
Farage intends to trigger a fresh by-election, in which he will stand again to beat “the establishment” and secure a larger mandate.

Nigel Farage MP: “…our fractured defences make us look weaker and weaker against what I think is now an increasingly dangerous Vladimir Putin. Business confidence is the lowest it’s now been for 16 years, and I speak to you from a capital city where men can’t wear watches, and women can’t wear jewellery, on the street. Britain is broken and the public know it. And we need change. Now, the issue with my daughter was the final straw. Enough is enough. And I thought over the weekend ‘what should I do?’ I could go out and try and make some real big money. I could go to the USA where I’ve got plenty of offers. And then I thought, why should I be judged today, or in history in the future, by Sky News and their ilk? Why should they be the people that decide my fate when, as I repeat, I’ve done nothing wrong. I’ve thought about it hard, and I’ve decided today, today I will resign as a member of Parliament for Clacton-on-Sea, thereby forcing a by-election which should happen, I hope, in short order. No, I’ve decided that the people of Clacton should be the judges of my actions. This will be a people versus the establishment by-election. It’s a chance to stick two fingers up to the entire establishment. To frankly, tell them where to go. And that is why I will be putting my name forward to stand in this by-election. I will fight to win. I will fight to continue the political revolution that Reform has started…”
In a live address to the nation, Farage responded to the growing political and media furore surrounding the sources of his private income by doubling down and repeating openly that he had done nothing wrong.

Nigel Farage MP: “…but we absolutely dominated in the Midlands and the North, the old Labour heartlands, and that is why Keir Starmer is now on his way out. Not to forget that in East Anglia the Conservatives have now by us been reduced to nothing more than a rump. It seems to me that the establishment have now decided that they can’t beat us fairly, so they’ve chosen to use foul means. Let me be absolutely clear, after the furore and the media pile on - well not just the media the other political parties too - let me be absolutely clear, I have done nothing wrong. I have not broken the law in any way at all. I have not misused public money. And you know, for the first two years of being an MP, my personal MP expenses are zero. Not, of course, that you’ll read about that in mainstream media. And yes, of course, parliament has its rules about how members ought to behave.”
That same day, the Telegraph reported a particularly relevant piece of information that few rival politicians or hostile media reports have picked up on.
A spokesperson for Farage has stated that he had already told the parliamentary standards representatives that he had received personal financial gifts from both the relevant donors, Cristopher Harbourne and George Cottrell. Farage’s spokesperson then claimed that Farage was advised that these gifts were personal, and did not require reporting.
The Telegraph reports 7th July 2026:
“The Reform UK leader is under investigation by the parliamentary standards commissioner over allegations that he did not correctly report £5m of donations from Christopher Harborne, the cryptocurrency billionaire, before the last general election….His spokesman said Mr Farage consulted the parliamentary authorities about both the Cottrell and Harborne donations when he was elected in 2024 and was advised that they did not need to be reported.”
This piece of information potentially changes everything.
Assuming it is true, then there is no scandal here. Perhaps this is why Farage has been declaring with confidence that he has done nothing wrong, and forecasting that he will win his Clacton by-election.
Whatever happens with this current by-election, the parliamentary standards committee must still look into the complaints, which it is now expected to do after the summer recess.
If Farage is found in breach the end result could, in theory, still trigger yet another by-election.
The Telegraph reports 7th July 2026:
“It was previously reported that Mr Greenberg could set out his conclusions and recommendation for any possible sanctions by the summer parliamentary recess, which begins on July 16. However, The Telegraph understands that Mr Greenberg is unlikely to conclude his investigation until MPs return on Sept 1...findings will then be considered by a group of MPs in the parliamentary standards committee, which will determine whether to impose a sanction on Mr Farage if he is found to have broken the rules. If the committee recommends suspending Mr Farage for more than 10 sitting days, and the decision is upheld after an appeal process, his constituents could sign a recall petition to trigger a by-election.”
But for Farage’s office to have provided the specific detail to the Telegraph that he had already informed parliamentary standards representatives of the sources of his income, and that he was advised he did not need to report it any further, suggests to us here at Radical Media that Farage is telling the truth.

We read twice for you that Farage’s spokesperson has said that Mr Nigel Farage had already told the relevant people in Parliament about both his donation from Harbourne and also his donation from Cottrell, and those people responsible in parliament for investigating parliamentary standards advised Farage he did not have to register those relationships in the parliamentary standards register. and that’s according to the Telegraph today, that Farage was advised ‘that they did not need to be reported’. Now that particular piece of information is highly highly relevant, because it’s a very specific rebuttal by Nigel. He is stating that he had already told the relevant people in parliament of these two donations and that they’d advised him that he did not need to report them. If that’s a lie, it’s very easy to catch Nigel Farage out in that lie because of course there will be those people in parliament will be able to say ‘we weren’t told, there’s no record of Nigel Farage telling us.’ But Farage claiming that he had indeed told them is a very specific thing to be lying about, because it’s very easy to disprove. So for Farage to make that claim in our view indicates that he did indeed tell the relevant people in parliament about the relationship he had with Christopher Harbourne and Posh George, or George Cottrell, otherwise he’d be very easily caught out lying.”

2) Globalists Attempt Farage Takedown
So what is all the fuss about? What is this funding scandal? Read on.
Last week, the Times of London’s Sunday investigations Insight team reported on a story about personal financial gifts that Farage had received from two friends prior to him becoming an MP.
A scandal was already brewing around Christopher Harbourne’s personal gift of £5million to Farage, but the Times added George Cottrell to the mix. ‘Posh George’ - as the British aristocrat is known - had served time in a US Federal prison after being convicted for wire fraud. The insinuation is that Farage is beholden to criminals and illicit finance.
The Times reports 4th July 2026:
The strange part about the story is that it was no secret that George Cottrell had been convicted for wire fraud, nor that he was supporting Farage, and even - as the Times itself reveals - openly handing out business cards connecting other potential donors to Farage’s office.
The Times reports 5th July 2026:
“A convicted criminal and crypto-gambler handed out a business card printed with the Reform UK logo and Nigel Farage’s official email address, despite having no formal role in the party, The Times can reveal. George Cottrell, 32, is at the centre of a Sunday Times Insight investigation that led to Farage, the Reform leader, being referred to the parliamentary commissioner for standards on Sunday. The investigation revealed that Farage did not declare benefits he received from Cottrell, including staff, security and use of a property from the crypto-gambler who once pleaded guilty to wire fraud and was imprisoned in the United States.”
Nevertheless, led by the Liberal Democrats, this revived story spurred Farage’s political rivals into demanding an investigation.
The Times reports 5th July 2026:
“Nigel Farage should face an investigation by the parliamentary commissioner for standards over the latest revelations about his finances, the Liberal Democrats said. Josh Babarinde, the Lib Dem MP for Eastbourne, claimed that the leader of Reform UK ‘is not being straight with the British people about who controls him”….Farage appears to have broken MPs’ rules by failing to declare that Cottrell, a long-term ally, provided funding for his operation in the year before his election.”
Liberal Democrat calls for an investigation were joined by both the other main parties of government, such as Labour.
The Times reports 7th July 2026:
“…Anna Turley, the chair of the Labour Party, said: ‘Reform’s excuses for the scandals engulfing Nigel Farage are getting pathetically weak. His top team must be wondering how many more times they will be wheeled out to defend the indefensible, only for the rap sheet against him to grow just hours later.…Labour also called for the Electoral Commission to investigate Farage over Cottrell’s support, claiming he may have broken campaign rules.”
And even the Conservatives under Kemi Badenoch.
The Telegraph reports 7th July 2026:
“Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative leader, said the revelations were ‘an indicator of what, if he ever got in, a Nigel Farage government would look like. It would just be this over and over again, things not being reported, endless scandals, and I just think that it would be chaos’, she said.”
Meanwhile, all these parties - including Rupert Lowe’s subversive Restore party - have refused to stand in Farage’s by-election until after the investigation into him is over.

All this has, of course, bolstered Farage’s claim that the Westminster establishment ‘uniparty’ - which as we have been arguing includes Restore - is involved in a stitch up against him.
3) The Deep State Plot
Our immediate reaction to the Times investigation last Sunday was to suspect a deep state plot against Farage.
We elaborated on Labour’s presumed new prime minister, Andy Burnham’s role in covering up underage ‘grooming’ gang rapes while mayor of Greater Manchester in last week’s Dispatch.
Farage himself has alleged an “establishment hit job” while repeatedly and clearly denying any wrong doing.
The Times reports 5th July 2026:
“Saying that he was the victim of an ‘establishment hit job’, Farage said: ‘I have done no wrongdoing, followed the rules and I am now considering legal action against The Sunday Times. It’s now clear the establishment will stop at nothing to hurt Reform — we want to smash their cosy consensus.’ Reform UK said: ‘It comes as no surprise that The Sunday Times has chosen to publish this baseless and contrived story, covering a period of time when Nigel Farage was not even an active politician, let alone an elected one, given that the newspaper backed the Labour Party at the last general election. Contrary to the story’s tone, no parliamentary rules have been broken. We also understand The Sunday Times has a new podcast to promote, which it seems very excited about. Its agenda should be plain for all to see’.”
Farage has supported his accusation of an “establishment hit job” by highlighting how corporate media has exposed his apolitical daughter’s home address, while seeking to door stop her there.

Nigel Farage MP: “…between what the press could do and families of those in public life. Worse still, she now has broadcasters haranguing her. Sky News were one of them, and when I questioned them on it, they wilfully and deliberately lied, and said on their channel that they hadn’t contacted the family. Well, let me be clear: I will not tolerate intimidation of my family. I will not tolerate the location of where they live being revealed. I will not tolerate any of my family being endangered because of what I choose to do in public life. So yes, you can ask: am I angry? Well I’ve never been angrier in my life. I’m also pretty upset with the behaviour of this Labour government. They began in 2025 and then tried again into 2026 to cancel elections for taxpayers, and to do so on a vast and epic scale, albeit with the connivance of the Conservative Party. Why? Well of course, fear of Reform.”
The Reform party leader expressed his outrage at this behaviour directly to one of the culprits, Comcast’s Sky News.

Nigel Farage: “You tell your bosses, you harass my family any more…there will be be serious consequences. That’s what your organisation has done this morning. Go away.”
Sky News, female: “Nigel Farage’s reaction to questions about the financial support he received from a convicted criminal.”
Sky News, male: “Was it a mistake not to declare the gifts, sir?”
Nigel Farage: “Did you not hear me? You have broken all the rules, Leveson and everything else. Cut!”
Sky News, female: “Sky News has not contacted Mr Farage’s family over the story.”
Sky’s claim that they “did not contact” his daughter was then called out as a lie by Farage.
Of course, “not contacting” doesn’t preclude the fact that they indeed went to Farage’s daughter’s home to try and make contact.
Farage then published CCTV video of the incident.

After this, Sky News were forced to publish this clarification.
Sky News’ owner, Comcast has form in this regard.
4) The Trump Playbook
The ‘uniparty’ campaign to stop Farage becoming prime minister resembles the playbook used by globalists to subvert his American friend, President Trump.
This lends credence to Farage’s claim that the deep state, the British establishment’s globalist civil service, are after him and will even break the law to ruin him.

Nigel Farage MP: “…these are men who’ve gone off as entrepreneurs around the world and succeeded. The sort of people we used to admire over centuries. Now government ministers refer to them in parliament as malign actors, and so they keep changing all the rules, again and again, just to stop Reform. Frankly, it is like living in a communist country. I could never have believed such a thing would happen here. Ignore the fact of course that over decades peerages have been given to donors, and that Labour’s donors in the run up to the 2024 general election now seem to have been awarded the most extraordinary government contracts. Perhaps Dominic Cummings was right last year when he said: ‘Whitehall will break the law to stop Reform winning power’ and we’ve been subject in the last few months to the use of illegally obtained information. Firm evidence of computer hacking, and now leaks from government agencies. And this is all of course a great distraction because we’re about to get a prime minister who’s coming in with no mandate whatsoever. He didn’t even stand on the 2024 manifesto. This country needs a general election even if Labour, the Conservatives and the media don’t want it. And whilst this pile on against Reform happens, the boats continue to cross the English Channel.”
Since these allegations, matters have gotten very serious.
Former leader of the Reform party Richard Tice has accused Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) of illegally leaking their bank statements to the press.
This would be a crime.

It does seem as if an attempted coup is afoot.
President Trump himself has taken this view, even posting about multiple similarities in the establishment campaign to unseat him before his second presidential term, with what’s happening to Farage now. See Trump’s remarks below…
