Top UK Palliative Professor Under Oath: “Midazolam Intoxication Caused Dimmock Death”

1) Midazolam Intoxication Killed Derek Dimmock

The following is urgent. The UK medical inquest into the Midazolam death of Derek Dimmock resumed at Southwark Coroner’s Court on Monday 1st December 2025.

If the reader knows anyone at all in medicine, they should inform them that the man who chaired and authored the England and Wales national palliative care (end of life) guidance, named NG31, said the below (paraphrased) under oath.

Maajid Nawaz for WARRIOR CREED: “Breaking news. One of the country’s leading palliative care experts who chaired and wrote the UK’s National Palliative Care Guideline, NG31, Professor Sam Ahmadzai, declares under oath that Derek Dimmock’s cause of death was a Midazolam overdose caused by the doctors themselves: iatrogenic. He stated as follows.

1A iatrogenic, acute intoxication with Midazolam, Alfentanil and Oxycodone.

B: uncontrolled acute polyarticulate gout with suspected vertebral gout.

And C, acute renal failure aggregated by enforced dehydration.

That is the official verdict of the man who wrote England and Wales national guidelines on palliative care, i.e. for the end of life stage. And he has testified under oath on behalf of the Dimmock family that Derek Dimmock was killed by Midazolam overdose that was caused by the doctors themselves. Now, we’re alleging over the course of this stream that that was a systemic problem, not just at the Royal Trinity Hospice, but on a national level. And if you stick with us, we’re going to show you testimony by the court-appointed expert witness herself, the opposing doctor on behalf of Royal Trinity Hospice, Dr Das, who testified under oath that this should now become a matter subject to national inquiry. That was her own under oath sworn testimony, the court-appointed expert herself said, this is now no longer something simply for the coroner to decide, though of course in the case of Derek Dimmock he should decide, but this is a subject that should become a matter for national inquiry.

Professor Sam Ahmedzai is no ordinary expert. Upon making his ruling, the coroner will no doubt be referencing the national palliative care guidance, NG31. Sam Ahmedzai wrote that guidance.

Ahmedzai testifying that an overdose of Midazolam killed Derek Dimmock is hugely consequential.

If Midazolam killed Derek Dimmock, then how many others in our care homes and hospices did this happen to during April 2020?

And why does no other UK factor correlate to the April 2020 excess death spikes, except the use of Midazolam and an opioid?

Click to play:

Maajid Nawaz for WARRIOR CREED: “It could not have been COVID vaccines, though, of course, they’re harmful in their own right. And they didn’t stop COVID, nor infection, nor transmission, and most likely caused a lot of other harms to people’s health. But the April 2020 excess death was not caused by those vaccines because they had not yet been rolled out. It could also not have been caused by COVID because on a macro analysis, using all the data, doing a statistical analysis, mathematically. They could not have been caused by COVID because COVID cases simply do not correlate to the April 2020 excess death spikes. The only thing that correlates is the use of Midazolam injections. When you combine that with a known fact that the infection fatality rate for those that were told that they had COVID was similar to the flu, there’s no way, even if it had been COVID, that it should have caused that huge excess death spike in April 2020. What you should have seen is flu-like death patterns, not a huge spike like those graphs represent.

The peer-reviewed paper referred to that shows a correlation between the April 2020 excess death spike and only Midazolam injections, was authored last year by Dr Wilson Sy, interviewed by Radical Media here.

Radical Media reports 22nd February 2024:

Here are Radical Media’s (paraphrased) live notes on Ahmedzai’s evidence from the inquest.

The implications of Professor Ahmedzai’s testimony have been explained by Radical Media here.

Maajid Nawaz for WARRIOR CREED: “This is incredibly significant, folks…in a nutshell…it explains all of the excess death spikes in April 2020, thereby explaining what caused all those care home deaths that Matt Hancock and Governor Cuomo in New York, for example, are so dogged by in terms of questions around what caused them. This answer, that it was a systemic, itrogenic, i.e. deliberate policy by doctors to use Midazolam to hasten the death of the elderly, statistically proven by looking at the macro data from April 2020, and excluding the fact that it was COVID jabs because they had not yet been rolled out in April 2020, and excluding the fact that it could have been COVID cases because the macro data, when statistically analysed, rules out any correlation between COVID cases and the April 2020 death spikes leaves only one option, to a peer reviewed statistical coefficiency of…over 91 percent of a correlation between Midazolam injections and the April 2020 death spike. This test case could demonstrate where one such systemic failure occurred in the case of the name Derek Dimmock. But if it opens up the floodgates of the over 50 families that went to Parliament, the House of Commons..

The member of Parliament who initially requested that the coroner look into the death of Derek Dimmock, Andrew Bridgen reacted to this news.

Despite all the evidence that has transpired, some remain too incredulous to accept the facts.

But the truth is hard to deny.

And the implications are too serious to overstate. This was a systemic policy. Therefore, and as Andrew Bridgen has emphasised below, the coroner would be wise to issue a ‘Preventing Future Deaths’ (PFD) order, as soon as possible.

2) Medical Witnesses for the Royal Trinity Hospice Simply Failed to Appear

Beyond Professor Ahmedzai’s evidence, the inquest itself was riddled with embarrassing holes in the Royal Trinity Hospice’s case.

The first day was marred by the fact that none of the medical witnesses for the Royal Trinity Hospice (RTH) showed up.

The coroner then instructed barrister for the Dimmock’s, James Bogle KC to submit his questions to these witnesses in written format instead, thus ensuring that Bogle would only receive fixed written replies from them, severely impeding his ability to cross examine the witnesses.

The farce grew so embarrassing that Bogle even privately called the place of work for one of the RTH witnesses nurse Baros, only to be told that she was indeed at her place of work.

The coroner’s response was to ask Bogle to leave such matters to the court to determine, which they subsequently did not.

3) The “Forged” Document Submitted as Evidence

The second day brought with it further shocking embarrassment for the RTH legal team, as they submitted a document purporting to evidence that Derek Dimmock consented to his own death, only for the document to be exposed by the Dimmock family as a forgery, which they had complained about as far back as 2021.

The next morning, Dimmock family barrister James Bogle drilled down on the point.

4) Destroyed Drug Book

As if the above were not shocking enough, on day three it was revealed during Bogle’s cross examination of the court appointed medical expert Dr Das - who had been defending the Royal Trinity Hospice - that it could not be determined how much Midazolam was injected into Derek Dimmock, because the hospice had actually destroyed their own drug book.

The following exchange highlights how the faulty syringe drivers pumping Midazolam into the late Derek Dimmock had been showing mixed up readings.

When court appointed medical expert Dr Das was pushed on how to determine the true amounts of Midazolam given to Mr Dimmock, Bogle referenced the conveniently destroyed drug book. Dr Das accepted that this amounted to a “clinical incident”.

Professor Ahmedzai followed up the next day to declare this state of affairs as “shocking”.

Click to play:

Maajid Nawaz for WARRIOR CREED: “And so what they did instead is shocking, you’re about to learn. What they did instead was they…destroyed the drug book that proved that they had overdosed him with Midazolam, despite knowing that there was an active investigation. In other words, the Achilles heel that Derek Dimmock did not have a COVID test, a positive COVID test, the Achilles heel that that led to was exposing the fact that they implemented a COVID death protocol over a patient who they knew didn’t have COVID and then tried to cover it up. Because if they didn’t use the COVID protocol, he would have lived and the instruction was that all of these people are designated to have their deaths hastened, not live. That’s what happened in all the hospices and care homes. That’s what happened in all the hospices and care homes. That’s why there was an excess death spike. And so applying Professor Sam Ahmedzai’s palliative care guideline would have meant that Derek lived.

The court appointed medical expert Dr Das was so flummoxed by the glaring inconsistencies in the evidence that she regularly resorted to word salads in an attempt to explain herself. The below is one such example (paraphrased).

Such were the discrepancies in the RTH case, that even their own court appointed medical expert Dr Das had to eventually concede that a national inquiry may be warranted, while suggesting that the issues raised by the Dimmock case may be too significant for a coroner’s court.

As James Bogle confirmed, the Dimmock family would no doubt agree to Dr Das’ suggestion for a wider public inquiry.

5) The Government’s Red Flag Warning

Professor Ahmedzai went on to declare under oath that the MHRA (Medicines and Health Regulatory Authority) had already issued a “red flag” warning about Midazolam leading to death, a full three months prior to Derek Dimmock was killed in this way at the Royal Trinity Hospice.

The below record is from our paraphrased Radical Media live inquest notes:

Barrister for the Dimmocks, James Bogle KC:
“…there was a warning issued by the MHRA (Medicines and Health Regulatory Authority) which is on their website about the use of benzodiazopimes [like Midazolam] and opioids...”

Barrister for the Royal Trinity Hospice (RTH), Wright-Klugar objects:
Sir, I’ve not sure I’ve seen this.”

James Bogle KC:
“..it says ‘reminder of risk of potential fatal respiratory repression, and this was issued in March 2020, in other words 3 months before Del was admitted to the RTH. It says ‘health care professionals are advised to only prescribe if there is no alternative, and only at low doses’ as it could lead to ‘death’. It goes on, in relation to Midazolam to say, ‘it is advised that flumazonil is available when Midazolam is used, to reverse the affects if possible. To who does this warning apply..”

Witness under oath, Professor Sam Ahmedzai:
“…this is essentially a red flag to all practitioners, it would absolutely apply to everybody in the palliative care world, we’d known about this for quite some time, I don’t know why it took so long for the MHRA to issue this warning. And saying ‘we do this all the time’ is missing the point, it is the fact that you do this all the time that is causing the deaths.”

Here is the aforementioned “red flag” warning from the official UK government website:

Here is the advice from the government that James Bogle KC read aloud in court. The reader should note the first bullet point explaining how benzodiazepines - such as Midazolam - combined with opioids can lead to “death”.

6) The Story Went Global & How to Obtain Official Court Audio of the Inquest

Radical Media’s pursuance of this story and our daily live notes from the inquest have helped maintain public attention on this consequential case. The below is purportedly from a public governor (individuals elected by the public to hold health authority leaderships to account) who has said that he will request further disclosure next week.

In 2022 Radical Media joined other independent voices such as Jacqui Deevoy and Ickonic media in following the Dimmock case, and Midazolam-caused excess death in the UK.

Since then, the story has gone global, involving countries such as Ireland, Canada, Germany, and the US. Last week, a mainstream Swedish TV documentary crew attended the Dimmock inquest daily.

Radical Media reports 30th November 2025:

And yet, there is still more work to be done in raising awareness of this totemic case.

Radical Media took live notes from all four recent days of the inquest, on 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th December. In addition, we have explained below how to obtain official audio recordings of the inquest, which can be requested by...
