BREAKING: Julian Assange Free After Agreeing Plea Deal For Telling The Truth

- A Radical Dispatch

1) Julian Assange is free

Founder of Wikileaks, Australian political prisoner Julian Assange walked free today after agreeing a deal in which he pled guilty to publishing true - but classified - information disclosing widespread American human rights abuses in the War on Terror.

WikiLeaks released the below statement last Monday.

Assange’s case has been a long and drawn out affair. Matters drastically escalated in 2010 when his website Wikileaks published almost half a million documents relating to Western-allied abuse in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars leaked from their source, US military intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning. Only six months later Swedish police issued an international arrest warrant for Assange to answer questions in a case involving rape allegations, though Assange was never charged.

Assange’s team alleged that the entire saga was a globally orchestrated honeytrap to take revenge for his embarrassing revelations. They claimed that the ruse was to get Assange to Sweden from where extradition to the US is legally unstoppable.

The precise nature of the rape allegation was vexatious, to say the least. Assange’s accuser had consensual sexual intercourse with him, however she claimed that the condom tore mid way through consensual sex and Assange didn’t withdraw. Assange said he did not recollect any tear in a condom. The case was dropped and reopened three times by Swedish authorities, culminating in it being shelved due to lack of evidence.

Despite the flimsy case, and not being charged, all US prosecutors required in order to get Assange was a UK order to extradite Assange to Sweden, from where his extradition request to the US would be granted as a matter of legal priority under Swedish law.

In 2011, UK courts issued the desired extradition order. Assange promptly fled to self-imposed exile at London’s Ecuadorian embassy, claiming asylum. His 12 years of detention, both self-imposed and eventually by the British state in Belmarsh prison, began from there. In 2016, a UN panel determined that Assange met the classification of an “arbitrarily detained” person in the Ecuadorian embassy by the UK and Swedish authorities.

Below is a timeline of events, ending two days ago on 24th June 2024.

Here is the US federal filing requesting a hearing for a plea deal by the US Department of Justice issued on 24th June 2024, ending the 14 year long saga.

Today, Assange walked free from all of the above, after time served. Online rumours that a condition for his release was that Wikileaks must delete all the Hilary Clinton private server emails, appear not to be true.

Wikileaks, accessed 26th June 2024:

So it is that the Clinton private server emails appear to remain on the Wikileaks server, for now.

2) Why Julian Assange was so dangerous

The truth of what Assange published via Wikileaks about US abuses during the War on Terror has never been disputed.

The Independent reports 25th June 2024:

He was charged with conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defense information by the US government…

..The charges against Assange in the US stem from one of the largest publications of classified information in American history, which took place during the first term of Barack Obama’s presidency.

Assange was accused by the US government of conspiring with Chelsea Manning, a military intelligence analyst, to disclose tens of thousands of activity reports about the war in Afghanistan.

Among the most notorious revelations provided to Assange’s Wikileaks by Chelsea Manning was US military archive footage called “Collateral Murder”, depicting what appears to be the cold blooded killing of civilians, including two Reuters journalists and their would-be rescuers.

Here is the footage, click to play:

Sitting on a trove of leaked classified US military documents transformed Assange into a uniquely placed commentator on world affairs, enabling him to predetermine media narratives and influence the course of elections with timed leaks. Assange promptly began using his position and what he knew to critique US foreign policy.

Because the goal is not to completely subjugate Afghanistan. The goal is to use Afghanistan to wash money out of the tax bases of the United States, out of the tax bases of European countries, through Afghanistan and back into the hands of a transnational security alliance. That is the goal, i.e. the goal is to have an endless war, not a successful war.

Most damning was Assange’s true assertion that the CIA and their allies in Mossad had been behind facilitating the rise of ISIS in Syria via the Sunni Muslim governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar in order to undermine the Russia and Iran-allied Shia-Alawite regime in Damascus.

The Daily Express reports 29th November 2016:

Mr Assange said a decision by the CIA, together with Saudi Arabia, to plough billions of dollars into arming the Mujahideen fighters in Afghanistan to tackle the Soviet Union, had led to the creation of terror group al-Qaeda.

This, in turn, he said led to the 9/11 terror strikes, the invasion of Afghanhistan and Iraq by the US, and the creation of ISIS.

Click to play:

Assange: “…early 2014 email, from Hillary Clinton, so not so long after she left Secretary of State, to her campaign manager, John Podesta. That email, it states that ISIL, ISIS, is funded by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Now, this is a…I actually, I think this is the most significant email in the whole collection, and perhaps because Saudi and Qatari money is spread all over the place, including into many media institutions. All serious analysts know, even the US government has mentioned or agreed with, that some Saudi figures have been supporting ISIS, funding ISIS, but the dodge has always been that it’s just some rogue princes, using their cut of the oil money to do whatever they like, but actually the government disapproves. But that email says that, no, it is the governments of Saudi and Qatar that have been funding ISIS. Under Hillary Clinton, and Clinton emails reveal significant discussion about it, the largest ever arms deal in the world was made with Saudi Arabia, more than $80 billion. In fact, during her tenure as Secretary of State, total arms exports from the United States in terms of the dollar value doubled.”

Correspondent: “And of course, the consequence of that is that this notorious terrorist jihadist group called ISIL, or ISIS, is created largely with money from the very people who are giving money to the Clinton Foundation”.

Assange: “Yes…my analysis is that Trump would not be permitted to win. Why do I say that? Because he's had every establishment offside. Trump doesn't have one establishment, maybe with the exception of the evangelicals if you can call them an establishment. But, banks, intelligence, arms companies..

Correspondent: “...Well, they all want him...”

Assange: “…big foreign money et. cetera. is all united behind Hillary Clinton, and the media.”

In the current year 2024, what Assange had been openly stating a decade ago about US foreign policy no longer sounds that controversial. But back then, what Assange was claiming was truly shocking to the world. Clearly, such commentary coming from a man with leaked official government documents to back up his claims of Western psychopathy in foreign policy - which he was by now making regularly to the world’s media - posed a very real threat to the Western security establishment. The globalist deep state rightly feared that this was too much power for one man to have.

Subsequent wars in Ukraine and Gaza have only strengthened his case, that Western globalist powers seek to perpetuate a state of permawar for power and profit. In detached hindsight from the vantage point of 2024, it is obvious that Julian Assange was arbitrarily detained for 12 years for telling the truth. By now, even President Trump has repeated Julian Assange’s most extreme foreign policy claims, such as the allegation that the CIA facilitated ISIS.

Radical Media has reported on this issue last March:

The Radical Dispatch reports 27th March 2024, extract:

ISIS is a Western intel proxy. Any who concern themselves with counter-terrorism know this. By now there is little doubt about this uncomfortable fact.

Off Guardian reports 6th January 2017:

“On Wednesday, Wikileaks released new evidence of US President-elect Donald Trump’s assertion that Barack Obama was the founder of ISISa leaked audio of US Secretary of State John Kerry’s meeting with members of the Syrian opposition at the Dutch Mission of the UN on September 22…the White House allowed the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group to rise. Obama’s administration hoped that growing the power of IS in Syria would force Assad to search for a diplomatic solution on US terms, forcing him to cede power. In its turn, in order to achieve these two goals, Washington intentionally armed members of the terrorist group and even attacked a Syrian government military convoy, trying to stop a strategic attack on the IS, killing 80 Syrian soldiers.”

Here is the original Wikileaks post:

And here is the original leaked audio:

And if there were any doubt that our very own intelligence services facilitate, coordinate and steer these terrorists, here is a video of a Ukrainian fighter wearing an ISIS patch.

Moving to the 2016 Presidential race, and by then even President Trump was making these shocking claims that Obama and Clinton facilitated ISIS, openly in his campaign rallies.

Click to play:

Trump: “ISIS is honouring President Obama. He is the founder of ISIS. He's the founder of ISIS. Okay? He's the founder. He founded ISIS. And, I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.

Perhaps in a freudian slip, President Obama does appear to have accidentally confessed it so.

Click to play:

Obama: “So with the additional steps I ordered last month, we're speeding up training of ISIL forces, including volunteers from Sunni tribes in Anbar province.

It is with all this in mind that we too, with our background in global counter extremism, have also stated the same:

By 2024, everything Assange once alleged via his platform Wikileaks has become widespread knowledge. The implications of all this - in both domestic and foreign policy - are too damning for most people to fathom. No wonder leading globalist RINO (Republican in Name Only) voices such as former Vice President Mike Pence are so alarmed at Assange’s release.

If Mike Pence is of the view that no one who endangers national security should ever be allowed to make plea deals, then let us hold him to his word when he faces justice for betraying President Trump in the 2020 rigged election

3) Steering media to wage gloablist wars

The implications of the Assange case were far reaching. A loud message had been sent by globalists in power that corporatist media was no longer at liberty to publish information that offended their national security establishment. Leaked documents even showed Hillary Clinton asking about why Assange cannot simply be killed by drone.

But most worrying are allegations by Tucker Carlson that former head of the CIA, and Trump’s former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo had put out a CIA hit on Assange.

Click to play:

Tucker Carlson: “An Illegal CIA spying programme. Assange withheld most of the details of that program so as not to compromise American national security, but the story was still deeply humiliating to the CIA. In Washington, CIA Director Mike Pompeo decided to murder him. Pompeo discussed with his deputies how the CIA might kidnap Assange from the embassy in London, or poison him inside. That is not conjecture. Multiple witnesses heard Mike Pompeo say that. At the time, keep in mind, Julian Assange had not been charged with any crime in the United States. Mike Pompeo considered it a death penalty offense to embarrass the CIA. You may be asking, is any of this legal? Can federal appointees use tax dollars to kill people who annoy them? Well, not technically. Mike Pompeo committed a felony, conspiracy to commit murder. And yet somehow, Mike Pompeo is not in prison. Instead, he's the toast of the donor class, a friend and advisor to the most powerful people in America. It's Julian Assange who's in prison for the crime of offending Mike Pompeo.

This only further demonstrates what Assange had alleged, that the suffocating of media voices - and turning them into propaganda voices through intimidation - was a prerequisite to being able to continue the gloablist permawar.

Click to play:

Assange: “…every war that has started in the past 50 years has been a result of media lies, and the media could have stopped it if they'd searched deep enough, they hadn't reprinted government propaganda, they could have stopped it. But what does that mean? Well, that means, basically populations don't like this, and populations have to be fooled into war. Populations don't willingly and with open eyes go into a war. So if we have a good media environment, then we'll also have a peaceful environment

Ironically, this concern about the impact on media freedoms is exactly the one that I had raised on my former LBC show, prior to being cancelled myself for challenging the globalist narrative on Covid mandates.

4) Globalist foreign policy hasn’t changed

Assange’s assertion that globalists will cynically foster war to pursue their interests abroad has received further support in Russian allegations that the US was behind this week’s terrorist attack in Sevastopol, Crimea.

The Russian ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia has alleged this:

Click to play:

Russian UN ambassador: “The Kyiv regime supported by the USA carried out a heinous attack against civilians in the Russian city of Sevastopol in Crimea. Ukraine launched five U.S.-supplied ATCMS missiles armed with cluster munitions. All flight missions were introduced by the US experts based on the US satellite intelligence. An American Global Hawk UAV was patrolling the airspace over the Crimean Peninsula. The beach area packed with peaceful citizens enjoying their weekend and Orthodox holiday was hit. Fire came from the sky on unprotected people who had nowhere to hide. Sand turned into blood. The video footage from the scene is just shocking. 151 persons were injured, among them 27 children. Four people died, including two children. They will never have a chance to enjoy a summer day again. The investigative committee of the Russian Federation has started to investigate this heinous crime. All responsible for these and other terrorist attacks will be held accountable. The fact that the US is directly involved in this crime is beyond any doubt. Washington and its allies fostered a Neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv and encouraged their puppets in Kyiv to commit terrorist acts against civilians. Recently, the NATO countries gave the Kyiv regime a green light to conduct strikes deep into the Russian territory.

The documents Assange once published via Wikileaks indicate CIA and Mossad involvement in facilitating ISIS terrorism abroad. It is not too great a leap to imagine the same US supporting terrorist attacks committed by associates of our supposed allies, the Nazi Azov Battalion in Ukraine.

Being at liberty to entertain and debate these foreign policy allegations - such as those made by the Russian ambassador to the UN above - is an absolute necessity. This makes the Assange case even more pertinent. The fact that Assange was released only after copping a guilty plea - for telling inconvenient truths - still serves to stifle such debate. Only a full pardon will begin to repair the years of damage caused. And a full pardon is what Assange’s wife has said she is seeking.

And it does appear that President Trump is considering granting precisely that.

Correspondent: “One more big one, will you pardon Julian Assange?

Trump: “Well, I'm going to talk about that today, and we're going to give it very serious consideration. And we're going to have a couple of other things to say in this speech that I think you're going to love.
