GB News, Laurence Fox & Captured OfCom - When Justice Only Goes One Way Beware the Joker

- A Radical Dispatch

1) The Implosion

UK News channel GB News is imploding. The station has suspended three more of its most visible male faces, amidst a new Ofcom investigation after many thousands of public complaints against prime time host Dan Wootten, Reclaim Party leader and actor Laurence Fox, and Deacon Calvin Robinson (after he refused to appear on air in support of Dan Wootton).

Previously, the UK regulatory body for broadcast media Ofcom had forced GB News’ hand to push out broadcaster Mark Steyn over his shows on vaccine harm.

Radical Media reports 7th February 2023:

This latest issue arose after Laurence Fox made crude comments - since apologised for - about leftwing journalist and former James O’Brien LBC producer Ava Santina, on the Dan Wootten show. Ms Santina publicised the complaint on her own social media page.

Such crass remarks on national television naturally grabbed headlines as intended. Even former Prime Minister Gordon Brown intervened.

The consequent and inevitable media frenzy led to over 7300 public complaints, conveniently prompting Ofcom to launch a renewed investigation into GB News for “offence” caused.

Media regulator Ofcom has launched an investigation into the Dan Wootton Tonight show on GB News after a sexism row sparked 7,300 complaints. Laurence Fox drew condemnation after insulting journalist Ava Evans, asking what "self-respecting man" would "climb into bed" with her, during Tuesday's live show. Ofcom said it will probe the episode under rules on offence. MailOnline earlier said it had ended Wootton's contract as a columnist.”

The Mail Online subsequently also suspended their column with GB News broadcaster Dan Wooten, on whose show Laurence Fox made the remarks.

Mail Online reports 28th September 2023:

“MailOnline has sacked columnist Dan Wootton, a spokesperson for the news site’s parent company said.

Wootton was the host on his eponymous GB News show earlier this week when guest Laurence Fox made a number of misogynist and offensive remarks about a journalist, sparking immediate outrage.”

The media frenzy culminated in mass calls - initiated by their corporate competitors at BBC and Sky News but spread further online - for GB News to be permanently shut down.

2) GB News, Ofcom, Laurence Fox & Dan Wootton: What is Really Going On?

The above rather self-serving and partial BBC Newsnight coverage calling for their rival GB News to be shut down sparked its own online complaint call to Ofcom.

Media Guido reports 28th September 2023:

Some of you may be wondering what on earth is going on in the UK.

Well, it is not about Laurence Fox or Ava Santina. It’s about what news you are allowed to consume, and from whom.

This latest media scandal is but an extension of the information war being fought around the world by globalists against insurgent sources of information, in order to control rising anti-globalist narratives.

Here’s how:

Laurence Fox was advised by many to apologise for his remarks about female journalist Ava Santina, and he promptly did.

Here is the video of Fox’s apology.

Considering what else has been permitted by UK media, and more importantly who is still permitted, this apology would have settled the issue by current standards.

But the Ofcom investigation into Fox and GB News continues. This is despite the fact that exactly the same words have been allowed to be uttered by others, about others, and on someone else’s show.

Douglas Murray awkwardly asks on Piers Morgan’s Talk TV show.

Douglas Murray: “Would you shag it?

Laughter.

Commentator: “Would I shag it, did you say?

Laughter.

Pier Morgan: “Well, there’s a question.

Commentator: “Yeah, absolutely I would have sex with them..thank you for asking.

Douglas Murray: “Really. Well you’re a braver man than me.”

Commentator: “Would you Douglas, because it sounds like you’re a little bit too obsessed with them, if I’m honest with you?

Douglas Murray: “No, no, no, I can assure you I’m not, I know what I like, and I don’t like fat, blubbery show offs..”

As you may guess, no outrage occurred after the above exchange.

When Justice Only Goes One Way Beware the Joker.

And investigations into GB News continue despite the clear hypocrisy of a media ecosystem that protected the likes of Jimmy Saville in the BBC until after he died, Russel Brand in the BBC until only two weeks ago, and even dare we say Dan Wootton in the Murdoch press, until now.

Media Guido reports 28th September 2023:

Calling for the shutdown of a broadcaster because a presenter has behaved badly is an extreme stance. Despite the BBC’s roster of presenters including the likes of Russell Brand, Jimmy Saville and John Peel – all of whom behaved far worse than Laurence Fox – their misbehaviour has not resulted in calls for the station to be shut down...Rival channels have a self-interested motive to protect what Adam Boulton phrased as the “delicate and important broadcast ecology” from the upstart channel which is regularly beating them in terms of ratings. Ava Evans herself opposes any move to close the channel…

Yet until the Laurence Fox saga, GB News had not even removed Dan Wootton from their airwaves, despite him being accused of the below potentially criminal blackmail and bullying allegations.

The Guardian reports 18th July 2023:

The publishers behind the Sun and MailOnline are looking into allegations that Dan Wootton inappropriately offered colleagues tens of thousands of pounds in return for sexual material.

Wootton’s ex-boyfriend claimed last week that Wootton, who is now a presenter on GB News, used the pseudonym “Martin Branning” and offered individuals large sums of money in return for filming themselves carrying out sex acts.”

The Guardian reports 1st February 2022:

Caroline Flack’s former fiance accused the GB News presenter Dan Wootton of being a murderer and a sex offender, a court has been told. A judge in Sheffield heard how Andrew Brady compared Wootton, now also a columnist for MailOnline, to the former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein in a series of messages sent over a period of more than two months.

This is why that verbal axe Laurence Fox dropped about Ava Santina on Dan Wooten’s show is best described as - whether he knew it at the time, or or not - primarily an axe that comes down on Dan Wootton’s head.

Removing Dan Wootton from the air for hosting Laurence Fox after his remarks against Ava Santina, places the spotlight firmly on Wootton. GB News will find it difficult not to act on the other more serious outstanding allegations after already suspending Wootton for these less serious ones.

In other words, it would appear unsightly to sack Laurence Fox yet keep Dan Wootton after this.

3) Why They Hate GB News

Whatever transpires, the British corporate media ecosystem’s outrage here is clearly not about crass words or even crude and or criminal behaviour.

So what is it really about?

To date, GB news is the UK’s only mildly anti-establishment national corporate news channel to challenge globalist narratives and the WEF’s Great Reset agenda. Albeit mild, GB News’ anti-establishment leanings have earned it severe ostracisation from the rest of the UK media ecology. Hence media desire to pounce on any given issue to insist that GB News be shut down.

By way of example, two weeks ago 16th September 2023 GB News became the first and only national corporate news channel to broadcast incredibly serious and credible family allegations - testimonies for which were given at Parliament - against the British state, which stands accused of implementing a policy of mass involuntary euthanasia of the elderly in care facilities with death row drug Midazolam and morphine, using Covid as cover. As the previous sentence implies, this is a potentially history-changing scandal.

Totally ignoring these horrific family allegations, and on that same day, British editors chose to unanimously run with a story featuring decade old allegations against Russell Brand instead.

Radical Media reports 17th September 2023:

Now for the first time, UK National Broadcaster Neil Oliver has raised these incredibly serious allegations - involving a national policy of administering death row drug Midazolam to “covid” patients without consent - on his GB News show yesterday evening 16th September 2023.

The WARRIOR CREED podcast for premium members attached to this Newszine is about GB News covering the Midazolam story.

4) The Capture of Ofcom

The real issue here then is revealed to be much larger than who GB News broadcasters prefer to have sex with, or who they even stand accused of blackmailing. The issue is one of compromise and capture of the broadcast regulatory body Ofcom.

To date, and whether originally hailing from the left or the right, it is primarily the anti-establishment broadcasters - including this author - who seem to be losing their media jobs. The reason cited just happens to be whatever conveniently arises when time demands.

As this extract from a previous Radical Dispatch postulated after the Mark Steyn affair, 7th February 2023:

After all, GB News is regulated by Ofcom.

If Ofcom were to be captured by the Globalist establishment, then GB News would have very little chance of being able to resist Ofcom pressure to avoid talking about vaccine injuries without being taken off air, or fined into oblivion.

And Ofcom is captured by the Globalist establishment.

Here is their page on the WEF website:

And here are details about the collaborative work Ofcom has done with the WEF on Digital Safety Online Censorship.

Our view has been stated clearly and openly: regulatory capture is an essential component of palace coups, and what you have all been witnessing since 2019 is nothing short of a global palace coup.

As Radical Media stated at the time of the Brand affair - and if Russell Brand is the Riddler of independent British media - if justice continues to only go one way, then beware the Joker.
